Soil Improvement

Soil improvement techniques are used to improve stability and loading capacity of the soil. This is achieved by drainage or compaction.

TMS has developed equipment for following soil improvement methods:

  • Vertical wick drains, installation to install drains up to a depth > 60m
  • Vacuum consolidation
  • Deep compaction with the use of high frequency vibration units
  • Surface compaction with the use of hydraulic impact hammers

Besides developing equipment, TMS has extensive experience with controls and data logging systems.
